Rowan Atkinson to stop playing 'Mr Bean'

Rowan Atkinson, who has mesmerised the audiences the world over with his silly antics in his comedy series Mr Bean, is all set to go for a change in his life. The British comedian, who refers to Mr Bean as a child in a grown man's body, indicated that the Mr Bean franchise might have to come to an end. The 52-year-old star was last seen in the sequel Mr Bean's Holiday, ten years after Bean: The Movie was released in 1997. He says that he does not like working too often, and that he will be too old to star as Mr Bean in the next ten years.
But, who would be the best choice for the role? Says a fan, "I don't think any actor on earth will be able to justify Mr Bean's character other than Rowan. But, if at all he quits, then Jim Carrey will be apt."

Is Jude Law dating a model?

It seems British actor Jude Law has fallen for German model/actress Susan Hoecke. The Alfie actor reportedly flew to Berlin to have a romantic dinner with the 26-year-old brunette. According to sources, the pair looked really involved while sharing two bottles of wine at a trendy Japanese restaurant. A couple of days back, the couple was seen leaving Jude's hotel together, following which they were spotted having a romantic walk in a Berlin park. "Jude and Susan seemed really happy and were pretty tactile with one another.Over dinner, initially, they both appeared pretty nervous and fidgety but, after downing in a second bottle of wine, they really loosened up, giggling, at times, loudly and uproariously," a tabloid quoting an onlooker, said. "Susan is a strikingly beautiful girl and not surprisingly, Jude could barely keep his eyes off her," the onlooker added. However, Susan, who was once linked with Ben Affleck, said that she and Jude are just good friends. "We have been good friends for two years," Susan said.

Nannies walk out on Beckhams

The Beckhams were reeling after two nannies walked out on them. Spice Girl Posh even had to do the Los Angeles school run herself this week as both women declared they were fed up being treated like “skivvies” by her and the England star.
“You’d imagine it’s a dream job working for celebrities like that in California. But these two trained professionals said it was a nightmare. They complained Victoria spoke down to them, her mother Jackie bossed them about and they felt like dogsbodies,” a source said. The first nanny, New Zealander Zara, had been with the family over a year. The second, Londoner Claire, fled after only six months.
They were hired to look after eight-year-old Brooklyn, Romeo, four, and Cruz, two. But another source said, “Both girls ended up having to cook and clean up for all the family. Victoria and Jackie constantly nagged and ordered them about. Some days they were on the go from 6 am to midnight. The pay was OK but they just got sick of it.”

Actress Jessica Alba has the sexiest wiggle in movies, according to a team of Cambridge mathematicians. The academics say that the Fantastic Four beauty has the precise ratio between waist and hips for the ultimate sexy strut. This ratio provides the body with the right torso strength to produce a more angular swing and bounce to the hips during the walking motion.
A hair removal firm commissioned experts from Cambridge University's maths department to look at famous women to see what gives them their wiggle. They worked out that a 0.7 ratio of waist to hips - such as 36'' hips and a 25'' waist - should make a perfect sway, like Jessica's. Her wiggle beat off similar sashays from Desperate Housewives' Eva Longoria, Tomb Raider star Angelina Jolie and even the sexy Marilyn Monroe. While Monroe was a fraction off the target ratio with 0.69, the Cambridge team said that Alba had the perfect proportions.

Naomi Campbell slams Vogue's preference for white models

Naomi Campbell has slammed magazines like Vogue for sidelining black models by giving preference to fair-skinned women. The stroppy supermodel said that 'it is a pity that people don't appreciate black beauty.'
The 37-year old admitted that she herself finds it difficult to get a chance to appear in the cover page of the London issue of Vogue magazine. "Black models are being sidelined by the major modelling agencies," Campbell was quoted as saying.
"Even myself, I get a raw deal from my own country, England. For example, I hardly come on the front pages of the London Vogue magazine. Only white models, some of whom are not as prominent as I am, are put on splash pages. I don't want to quit modelling until I find that black models get equal prominence and recognition by the world media and information instruments. I believe there are pretty girls from African and Asian countries who can grace the international catwalk and the front pages of fashion magazines with proper strategies."

Sienna Miller wants to 'bond' with Daniel Craig in the next Bond flick

There is nothing that Sienna Miller would like to do more than become a next Bond girl. The British actress admitted that she would love to reunite with her gangster flick Layer Cake co-star, Daniel Craig, onscreen once again in a 007 flick.
She also admitted that she was simply blown away by Craig's performance in Casino Royale. "Daniel is one of my best friends, and I thought Casino Royale was brilliant. I would work with him any day of the week," she was quoted as saying.
If Sienna's dreams do come true, then sparks are sure to fly between the two, for not only did their chemistry become clear on-screen while they were working on Layer Cake, but was rumoured to have continued off-screen too.
Craig, in the meantime, is not having such a good time at the box office, for his new movie opposite Nicole Kidman, The Invasion, bombed horribly.

JK Rowling turning to crime fiction !

JK Rowling has been spotted at cafes in Scotland working on a detective novel, a British newspaper has reported.
The Sunday Times quoted Ian Rankin, a fellow author and neighbour of Rowling, as saying that she is turning to crime fiction. "My wife spotted her writing her Edinburgh criminal detective novel," quoted Rankin. "It is great that she has not stopped writing or Edinburgh cafes," said Rankin, who is known for his own police novels set in the historic Scottish city.
Rowling famously wrote initial drafts of the Potter story in the Scottish city's cafes. Back then, she was a struggling single mother who wrote in cafes to save on the heating bill at home. Now, she's Britain's richest woman-worth $1 billion, according to Forbes-and her seven Potter books have sold more than 335 million copies worldwide.

Paris set for British reality show 'Celebrity Big Brother'

Paris Hilton is reportedly set to star in reality TV series Big Brother. The former jailbird has been offered 300,000 pounds to appear in the Channel 4 programme scheduled for January 2008.
The offer makes the hotel heiress the highest paid celebrity on the show so far. A Big Brother source said that the show's bosses are in talks to rope in 'The Simple Life' star. We told Paris, name your price. We are in firm talks, and it would be a fantastic coup to get her, The Sun quoted an insider as saying. Another source said that Hilton wants to disprove her bimbo and wild child reputation.

How James Bond was born?

The story behind how the world's most famous spy, James Bond, was born has been revealed now. In 1952, bestseller author, Ian Fleming, who was a journalist with The Times, was worried about his imminent marriage, and to divert himself from the looming ceremony, he started carving out a story on his typewriter. A month later, Casino Royale was completed, and the legendary secret agent James Bond 007 was born.
Fleming, who had worked as a stockbroker, a reporter on The Times and, during the Second World war, a spymaster in the Naval Intelligence Division, once told a friend, "I am going to write a spy story to end all spy stories," Fleming had written 14 Bond books by the time of his death, in 1964, creating an iconic character that had an eternal grip on popular culture.

Halle is scared to be a mum!

Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry will soon be on a diaper duty, if rumours are to be believed. The actress is said to be two months pregnant with her first child with model beau Gabriel Aubry, who she met in November 2005 on the set of an ad campaign. "Halle is so happy right now. She wanted a baby for so long," the source says. However, the source also adds that with the joy has come a real fear due to the fact that Berry is a diabetic, and the disease can cause complications during pregnancy, including risk of miscarriage, stillbirth and birth defects. And so, the star was doing everything possible to make sure her baby is born healthy.

Lindsay's third rehab stint costs Rs 8 lakhs a month

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan's third rehab stint is costing her a whopping Rs 8 lakhs a month in fee. However, a family source said that like the previous two facilities, the current rehab centre Cirque Lodge clinic in Utah is also more like a resort than a clinic. "Residents are offered sports like hiking and riding. I would prefer Lindsay to be in constant therapy, rather than doing chores that are not relevant to her addiction problems," the relative added. At first, rehab inmates are given a haircut, manicure and pedicure. The facility has fireplaces, jacuzzi tubs in all rooms, sauna and a gym. They can also enjoy movies screened on big television in a huge media room.

Madonna shocks flight co-passengers!

Pop queen Madonna left co-passengers on a Trans-Atlantic flight dumbfounded after injecting herself with vitamins. According to a source, the American singer-actress who is known for her toned body, and is said to follow a strict routine of yoga, ate nothing during the seven-hour flight, and took vitamin shots before the landing. She was also very quiet and only spoke to the air staff to ask for water. Just before landing, she brought out the phials of vitamins and injected herself.

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton has denied reports that she has charged huge amount for an appearance at nightspot in Las Vegas for the New Year's Eve bash, saying that the amount is inaccurate. According to a newspaper, the 26-year old and her sister Nicky charged the whopping sum for a multiple-day New Year's party. The source added that only the Hilton sisters have the guts to charge the amount. "Paris and Nicky are shopping their partying ways to Vegas. Paris will party at a few spots and Nicky will bless the lucky host with a fashion show and model herself," the source was quoted as saying.

George Michael : I'll do whatever they want me to do

British pop star George Michael has begun his 100 hours of community service after being convicted for driving while unfit. The former Wham! star spent three hours helping workers in the garden at a homeless hostel in London on Monday. "I am just like everyone else. If you do something stupid, you have to pay the price. I have been doing some gardening and really enjoyed it," he was quoted as saying. "I will do whatever they want me to do. I don't want any special treatment," he added. Michael was arrested last year after he was found slumped at the wheel of his car. He pleaded guilty to driving while unfit during the hearing of his case, after the police claimed that the singer had a cocktail of drugs in his system including GHB,and cannabis at the time of his arrest. He was sentenced in June, when he was banned from driving for two years, and ordered to perform 100 hours of comunity service.

The Australian actress Nicole Kidman is set to star and produce a new horror flick which is the remake of Colombian film Al Final Del Espectro. The actress will produce it through her Blossom Films banner along with co-producer Rick Schwartz.
Kidman will play the lead role, Vega, who is encouraged by her dad to take refuge in a fancy apartment after a tragedy. The traumatised woman suffering from agoraphobia, starts living like a hermit. But, strange things happen when she starts seeing a ghost.

Mel Gibson to star in the fifth version of Lethal Weapon

Director Richard Donner reportedly has a worthwhile script for a fifth version of Lethal Weapon, which may prove helpful in convincing Mel Gibson to star in it. "It's up to Mel. If he says yes then there's another Lethal Weapon. I have a great story, I would love to do it," he was quoted as saying.
Donner expressed his belief that the script may prove helpful in convincing Mel to do the film. "It was hard for Mel to do Lethal Weapon 4. For the fifth series, it would have to be a story that would be worthwhile, but I think maybe there is something out there," he said. Donner's statement comes just days after reports claimed that Warner Brothers were in the early stages of trying to relaunch the popular action series.

Angelina : I'm a hopeless cook

The Bone Collector star admits that if there is one skill that she is not very adept at, it would be cooking. When asked if she had "any flaws", the Oscar-winning actress told reporters she is at a loss in the kitchen. "I don't cook - I don't like cooking," she was quoted as saying.

"She was babbling incoherently," the source said. "Britney appeared to be out of her mind. She frequently went to the toilet and when she came back she couldn't continue with the interview. Her eyes were rolling and she was talking nonsense, which looked bizarre. The pictures from the photo shoot are just as disturbing as they could kill her career" added the source.

Reports that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's relationship is on the rocks are making rounds once again, after rumours that she threw a glass of red wine over him after a furious bust-up. An insider has revealed to a magzine that things are so bad between the couple that they have already discussed a possible custody deal over their kids - Maddox 6, Zahara 2, and Shiloh 14 months. Pitt hasn't adopted Jolie's second son Pax Thien, 3, as yet.
The source revealed that Jolie flipped and dumped wine over Brad during a recent holiday in France when they got into a fight over politics. It seems that Brad had accused her of being "immature". "Angelina was cursing at him and ended up throwing a glass of wine in his face. Brad was absolutely disgusted by her behaviour,"the insider was quoted as saying. "Brad's just had enough of doing what Angie wants to do and following her around the globe," the insider added.

Lindsay: A real life 'mean' girl

Lindsay Lohan isn't winning many friends in Hollywood after she was overheard telling friends what she thought about her acting peers. 'The Mean Girls' actress became a real-life mean girl when she reportedly picked on Scarlett-Johansson, Sienna Miller, Keira Knightley and Jessica Simpson at a party.
Lohan called Johansson "ugly" and "fat"; Simpson "dumb"; and British Miller a "no-talent crackhead". And also insisted that she was "the greatest actress in the world". Lohan then turned on Knightly, calling her a "flat, shallow, cardboard cutout of an actress". Ironically, Lohan was slated to appear alongside Knightly in new Dylan Thomas biopic 'The Edge Of Love' but pulled out of the project, leaving Miller to take her role.
